Frozen Treats Franchise Looks to Bring Over 40 Flavors of Italian Ice to Melissa

Melissa, Texas. – Orlando-based Jeremiah’s Italian Ice will soon be scooping up its iconic frozen treats in Melissa with the announcement of the brand’s newest location to open in the area. Slated to open in late May, the new Jeremiah’s Italian Ice will be located at 2613 Sentinel Way, Suite 100 steps away from the Sunview Café in the brand-new Melissa Village development. The new shop will be owned and operated by Natalia O’Mara.

Originally from Colombia, Natalia has encompassed the American dream. From a young age, she had always known that she wanted to come to America and provide for her family in a way that not even she could have imagined. O’Mara attended the University of Arkansas, after graduating she became a legal assistant for an Oil and Gas company based in Oklahoma. Soon after, she met her husband Matt and the two relocated to Dallas. On a trip to Daytona Beach, Natalia was introduced to Jeremiah’s Italian Ice. She fell in love with the company’s mission and the products that they serve. After her trip, she knew that bringing a location back to Texas would be her greatest feat yet.

“I really enjoyed my time visiting the location in Daytona Beach and learning the in’s-and-outs of the business,” stated O’Mara. “The bond among the employees was very special and the brand’s dedication to providing a high quality, enjoyable experience for its customers was something I wanted to be a part of. Being able to open my own Jeremiah’s store is a dream come true, and I can’t wait to share Jeremiah’s delicious frozen treats and family-friendly environment with the Melissa community.”

Each Jeremiah’s location boasts an upbeat atmosphere full of vibrant colors and offers over 40 flavors of indulgent, high-quality Italian Ice, as well as rich and creamy Soft Ice Cream. The Jeremiah’s Gelati, which features layers of Italian Ice and Soft Ice Cream, offer nearly limitless flavor combinations and is the star of their menu.

One of the things Natalia enjoys most about Jeremiah’s Italian Ice is the dedication to the communities that the brand serves. One of the ways in which she has bolstered community involvement already was the hiring of the veteran owned and fellow Latino General Contractor, Ismael Mercado, owner of MECO Contractors. O’Mara has partnered with Mercado to build out the store, navigating the supply chain challenges and getting the store to open on schedule and on budget.

Natalia is looking forward to making her business a pillar of the local community. She is also excited to be a resource for her younger staff and to partner with local organizations with opportunities such as sponsoring youth sports and church groups. The opening of the brand’s newest location in Melissa marks the next step in the Jeremiah’s Italian Ice expansion throughout The Lone Star State.
