Military Veteran Brings Jeremiah’s Italian Ice to Her Asheville Community
50th Jeremiah’s Franchise Location Opening in North Carolina
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Orlando-based Jeremiah’s Italian Ice will soon be scooping up its iconic frozen treats in Asheville with the announcement of the brand’s newest location. Slated to open on April 5, the new Jeremiah’s Italian Ice will be located at 705 Merrimon Ave and will be the 50th franchise location for Jeremiah’s Italian Ice.
The new shop is locally owned and operated by Caitlin Olson and her parents Rusty and Diane. The Olson family spent many years living down in Orlando, Florida, where the Jeremiah’s brand originated. After falling in love with the brand and product, Diane inquired about franchising the store, long before the brand even began to do so. About 10 years after she reached out, Jeremiah’s contacted the Olson family, ready for them to help expand the brand. Having owned and operated a Mexican restaurant in the past, Rusty and Diane were ready to take on this new adventure, and after serving nine years in the Air Force upon graduation from the U.S. Air Force Academy, Caitlin was more than ready for the opportunity as well.
“While growing up in Florida, Jeremiah’s was the place my family went for celebrations, pick-me-ups, and everything else in between,” said owner and operator, Caitlin. “I wanted to bring Jeremiah’s to the Asheville community so local families could have the same opportunity to create memories there like we did. I am so excited to bring this fantastic product to my city!”
Each Jeremiah’s location boasts an upbeat atmosphere full of vibrant colors and offers over 40 flavors of indulgent, high-quality Italian Ice, as well as rich and creamy Soft Ice Cream. The Jeremiah’s Gelati, which features layers of Italian Ice and Soft Ice Cream offers nearly limitless flavor combinations and is the star of their menu.
The new Jeremiah’s Italian Ice will offer guests outdoor seating, walk-up order windows, and a drive-thru. The shop’s location makes it a perfect family-friendly destination for local residents and their furry friends, as they will be serving up “pup cups” too. This location will be open Sunday – Thursday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday – Saturday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
