Jeremiah’s Italian Ice Opening in Chandler June 2nd

New frozen dessert shop reminds us life is still sweet

Chandler couple Abbie and John Mirata had sweet dreams of opening a Jeremiah’s Italian Ice in Arizona (the treatery has a cult-like following in their native Florida), but the timing of the opening was delayed due to the coronavirus quarantine.  Construction on the shop located at 4050 S. Alma School Road in the Ocotillo Shoppes is complete, and now after spending a month training their staff, the Frog Squad, on how to deliver the flavorful guest experiences the brand has come to be known for, the store will officially open to the public, Tuesday, June 2. This is the first Jeremiah’s location to open in Arizona.

“When we started construction, we were on track to open in May, however when Covid-19 hit, we chose to make adjustments in an effort to be sensitive to the situation,” explains Abbie Mirata. “John and I believe our ability to now offer our tasty treats to the community can serve as a reminder that life is still sweet and needs to be savored.”

Jeremiah’s serves more than 40 vibrant flavors of house-made Italian Ice, as well as its rich and creamy Soft Ice Cream. The dessert shop’s trademark treat is its Gelati, which perfectly layers the Italian Ice with Soft Ice Cream, mixing and matching flavors in an endless variety of combinations. Jeremiah’s encourages free sampling of their tasty treats to ensure you find the flavor combo that’s perfect for you. The shop will offer in-store service, takeout, delivery through 3rd party apps, and catering options.

Jeremiah’s also offers their J-List Rewards loyalty app that allows customers to earn a free treat upon sign-up, earn reward points, receive special offers and gain access to their Secret Menu. Customers that download the app and use it while placing an order during the month of June will be entered into a drawing for a free Jeremiah’s Italian Ice for the remainder of the year (1 cup per month and other fun prizes such as t-shirts and gift cards.

“While we’ve been training our staff and getting ready, we’ve had a lot of people in the community contacting us asking when we will open,” adds John Mirata. “We are excited to finally be able to announce our opening, and the ongoing interest and support from the Chandler community is especially encouraging during these challenging times.”
