Jeremiah’s Italian Ice Opens in Gilbert

New frozen dessert shop beats the heat with cool treats

GILBERT, Ariz. — Beginning Tuesday, July 13, Gilbert residents have a new hot spot to go and cool off with the opening of Jeremiah’s Italian Ice. This is the third Jeremiah’s Italian Ice shop to open in the Valley of the Sun in the past year. Last June the first location in Arizona opened in Chandler and in June 2021 a location opened in Queen Creek. Jeremiah’s Italian Ice originated in Florida, where each of the Arizona store owners once lived. Bob and Denise Edwards are the husband-and-wife team behind the Gilbert location with their cousin, Andy DeGraff. The Gilbert store is located at the Southeast corner of Gilbert and Warner Road in the newly built Gilbert Crossroads.

“We are excited to introduce Jeremiah’s Italian Ice to the Gilbert community and become the place for families to come celebrate life’s sweet moments,” states Bob Edwards co-owner of Jeremiah’s Italian Ice in Gilbert. “We have great memories of going to Jeremiah’s original shop in Florida and bringing our own kids there when they were growing up,” adds Denise Edwards.

The Gilbert store is 1,077 square feet with indoor seating for 8 to 10, and a large outdoor patio with tables for up to 20. The shop will also feature two walk-up windows allowing guests to order outdoors or in advance and take their treats to-go. A vibrant mural designed and painted by Justin Peterson, an Orlando based artist and creator of the graphic novel series “VERY NEAR MINT.” Peterson painted many of the murals in Jeremiah’s Florida shops and his work can also be found in Tijuana Flats, a popular Tex-Mex restaurant chain.

Jeremiah Italian Ice is known for its house-made Italian Ice and rich, creamy Soft Ice Cream. The treatery menu features more than 40 rotating flavors that can be served separately or layered together to create Jeremiah’s signature Gelati. Flavors can be mixed and matched with the Vanilla and Chocolate Soft Ice Cream in an endless variety of combinations. To top it off customers can add sprinkles or choose from a selection of layer-ins such as Oreo Cookie Crumble, Cookie Butter Crumble, and Hershey’s Chocolate Chips.

Jeremiah’s offers free samples of their tasty treats to allow customers the opportunity to discover their favorite flavor combos and free “Pup Cups” for customers who bring their pets to the Dog-Friendly patio.Customers are also invited to join the J-List Rewards loyalty app, where they earn a free treat when they sign-up to earn reward points. Through the app customers also receive special offers and have access to Jeremiah’s Secret Menu.

“I grew up in Florida, eating at Jeremiah’s Italian Ice and loved the flavors, and the fun, friendly atmosphere. After spending my career in the restaurant and hospitality industry, I’m excited to help Bob and Denise open and manage the shop and share one of my favorite childhood treats with my neighbors,” states Andy DeGraff, general manager for Gilbert shop.

Jeremiah’s Italian Ice Gilbert is situated at 85 E Warner Rd #104 at the South-East corners of Gilbert and Warner and will be open daily 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. The Gilbert shop will offer in-store service, takeout, delivery through third-party apps and catering.
